Mizzi's Straight Gets Flushed

Sorel Mizzi caught the wrong card on the river of a three-way hand with Chris Chronis and Richard Ashby. It was raised to 22,000 by Ashby preflop, Chronis and Mizzi calling out of the blinds. Chronis checked to Mizzi on a flop of {5-Clubs}

. Mizzi's 42,000 bet chased Ashby out, but was quickly called by Chronis.

The turn was a repeater, the {5-Hearts}

. Chronis again checked and then quickly called a bet of 106,000 from Mizzi. The river came down {3-Clubs}

. Chonis checked a third time, then quickly called a massive bet of 250,000 from Mizzi. Mizzi showed {4-Hearts}

for a rivered straight, but Chronis turned over {A-Clubs}

for a rivered flush!

Chronis popped out of his chair, gave a short fist pump and exclaimed, "Yes!" The huge pot increased Chronis' chip count to 1.4 million. Mizzi is left with 195,000.
