Boujenah Busts Jouhkimainen

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Ilan Boujenah is closing in on the quarter of a million chips mark thanks in part to him busting out Finland's Joni Jouhkimainen.

Jouhkimainen got his chips into the middl from the button holding {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Boujenah called in the big blind with {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}. The board ran out {7-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, Jouhkimainen drawing dead by the turn.

Goldberg Takes on Pollak

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Alain Goldberg opened to 6,100 in the cutoff and Benjamin Pollak flat-called in the big bling. Pollak then check-called a 7,500 continuation bet from Goldberg on a {3-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop.

The turn was a flush-completing {K-Clubs} and when Pollak checked Goldberg snap-checked behind. This led to Pollak taking an 8,600 sized stab at the pot when the {5-Hearts} completed the board, but he soon folded when Goldberg moved all-in on him.

Pollak has over 200,000 chips so he will not be too worried about losing a few to Goldberg here.

Vandermissen Busts as Players Go on Break

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Kevin Vandersmissen in happier times on day 1
Kevin Vandersmissen in happier times on day 1

Kevin Vandersmissen's fall from grace was completed as he busted as most players had gone on break.

Vojtech Ruzicka bet the flop, bet the turn and shoved the river on a {3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} board. Vandersmissen called all the way and all in on the river with {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Ruzicka opened {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} and took the pot and the scalp.

His chips were in a big messy pile but a full round of chips are taking place on the break and will be posted shortly.

Ladouceur Doubles Up but is Still Short

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Marc-Andre Ladouceur has just doubled up through Ghassan El Hoss but he is still short on chips here in the High Roller.

El Hoss opened to 5,300 from under the gun and the action folded all the way around to Ladouceur in the big blind and he shoved for 11,700 in total. El Hoss called and the cards were opened.

El Hoss: {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Ladouceur: {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Ladouceur took the lead on a {4-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop and he eventually improved to a flush as the turn and river were the {9-Hearts} and {5-Hearts} respectively to double him up.

Picking on the Wrong guy, Reilly

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Vladimir Troyanovski on day 1
Vladimir Troyanovski on day 1

Timothy Reilly is having a profitable day although he did drop back a little after trying to bluff the bigger-stacked Vladimir Troyanovski.

The flop was showing {4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Troyanovski check-called a 10,500 bet to see the {a-Spades} turn. He checked to let Reilly have another stab with a 22,000 bet which he also called.

Both players checked the {7-Spades} river and Reilly could only muster {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Troyanovski took the pot with his {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

Thorel's Overeagerness Costs Him Action

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Jean Noel Thorel's overeagerness has possibly just cost him some action from at least one player.

Thorel opened to 5,000 in early position and after a couple of players folded, Vladimir Troyanovski three-bet to 13,000. More players folded until the action was on Timothy Reilly in the big blind, he checked his cards but before he could act Thorel four-bet an additional 35,000 chips!

"With that I think I fold!" quipped Reilly, and it was Troyanovski's turn to act. He studied Thorel for 20-30 seconds before folding.

Kevin Vandersmissen Some Chips

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Ilan Boujenah on day 1
Ilan Boujenah on day 1

Kevin Vandersmissen is having a bad day as his stack plummets. It's not as bad as Max Heinzelmann's day though as he busted a short while ago.

The big damage to Vandermissen's stack was done by Ilan Boujenah who told us about the hand:

"He [Vandermissen] flatted tens and I squeezed with ace-king. He back-shoved and I called."
