Peter Kvisthammar leads the pack with a stack of 806,000 and will be looking to add to his tally of a combined four European Poker Tour (EPT) & ESPT final tables. The Swedish player managed to make it onto the podium twice by coming third in both a Seniors tournament and a 6-Handed event at previous stops.

Rounding out the top three stacks are Rayane Mokhtar with 780,000 and Italy's Ermanno Di Nicola, who bagged 692,000.

Alexandros Kolonias, who sits second on Greece's all-time money list, sits fourth on the leaderboard and has 645,000 chips in his arsenal to tackle Day 2. Kolonias is no stranger to the EPT circuit but a title still eludes the Greek player with his best finish on the tour being a runner-up spot back at the 2016 edition of EPT Monte Carlo in a High Roller event.

Play will begin at Level 17 (3,000/6,000) with a 6,000 big blind ante and the average stack sits at around 200,000 or 33 big blinds. The level duration has been increased to 60-minute levels for the rest of the tournament and breaks will occur every two hours.
